The Impact4Humanity program takes ideas from conceptualization to validation, rapid prototyping, fund raising and accelerated development for market. Selected ventures shall be showcased and launched at the Global Entrepreneurship Community 2017.

Overall, there are five key components which follow the process of identifying, developing and accelerating high impact ideas into market-ready products. .

Needs Analysis and Problem Scoping

This component bring partners together to scope impact areas and determine the needs and market size of one million people and more, globally. The workshop is divided into two sections, namely, Impact Scoping, and Media Strategy, where the partners’ impact stories will be developed. Fifteen corporate partners and/or institutions shall be invited to participate during this stage.

Rapid Prototyping

Selected ideas would be dissected and developed during the App-based and Make-based hackathons. This is where Social Innovation meets technology adoption to build apps to improve systems, processes or physical products that complement a social mission. Forty (40) teams of 100 participants selected from Hack4Humanity shall participate in this component.

Ideation & Validation

The ideation bootcamp is for entrepreneurs and social innovators to validate and solidify their ideas and business models. Selected ideas will be brought to the Build4Humanity for rapid prototyping. We expect to have 500 participants of 100 teams which consist of entrepreneurs/social innovators/academicians/students and at least one woman co-founder.

Access to Funds

Selected ideas would receive assistance to gain access to funds. Two important fundraising components post-hackathon stage include Impact Investor (Angel/Seed investment) and Crowdfunding Campaign. Twenty (20) teams of 50 participants selected during Build4Humanity shall be involved in this component.

Development and Go-to-Market

Ten (10) high impact ventures with good market potential would be selected to be accelerated into market-ready prototypes through a 3-month acceleration period. The final products will be showcased and launched at the Impact Marketplace at GEC2017.
